What will you do

After a really comfortable 4-hour trip, we will arrive in Chivay, where we will have a brief stop and an explanation of the activities to be done. Before the activities in Chivay we will have an exquisite buffet lunch. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to try a wide variety of the best dishes of Peruvian cuisine.

That same afternoon, we began the tour of the Chivay district. There we will carry out various activities which will highlight the visit to the beautiful thermal baths of Chacapi and optionally the visit to a rock. On the second day, from 6:30 in the morning we board our transportation and head towards the viewpoints of the Colca Canyon. After a buffet lunch we began the return trip, with the intention of arriving in Arequipa before 6:00 p.m.

Itinerary

Day 1

We begin activities in Arequipa with pick-up from hotels between 7:30 and 8:00 in the morning.
Before that, make sure you have a good breakfast.
The trip to Chivay from Arequipa lasts approximately 4 hours.
During the trip we will make stops to appreciate the Misti mountain range, and also to see some vicuñas, llamas and alpacas in their natural state.
It is estimated to arrive in Chivay between 12:00 and 12:30 hours of the day.
Before starting the activities, the guide will give us some details of the activities we will do in the afternoon.
We start the afternoon with an exquisite buffet lunch.
After having a break we will start with the activities.
One of the most striking activities is a visit to the Chacapi thermal baths.
The Chacapi thermal baths are characterized by the transparency of their waters and the beautiful landscapes they offer.
Before spending the night, we can optionally go to one of the busiest clubs in Chivay.
At the club we can have dinner (not included) and enjoy live music.

Day 2

Very early we must have breakfast at the hotel.
Starting at 6:30 the transport will pick us up.
We go directly to the viewpoints, where we will also have walks to better appreciate the landscape.
We will also be able to appreciate the flight of the condors, the main attraction of the Colca Canyon.
The viewpoints that we will visit will be: Antahuilque, Wayrapunku, Choquetico until we reach the town of Maca.
After all these activities, we descend to Chivay and head towards the place where we will have lunch.
After a brief rest, we begin the return trip to Arequipa.

What to bring

Have a good breakfast before starting the trip.
You need to present an identity document (DNI or Passport).
The Colca Canyon is located at 4160 meters above sea level. Try to dress warmly or in layers.
Have sunscreen.
During the day, wear a hat and sunglasses.
Bring bathing clothes, we will visit the Chacapi thermal baths.

Generate disturbance.

As for the best date to see the condors, it is difficult to define. However, as for the hours, it is most likely to see them at dawn, exactly from 6:00 to 8:00 in the morning.
