The adventure to Ahuashiyacu not only leads you to a nearly 35-meter-high waterfall, but also offers high jungle landscapes, a short walk in nature, and a refreshing swim you won’t forget.


Itinerary

  • We start the wonderful day in Tarapoto city, where our staff will pick you up from your hotel around 10:00 a.m. and transfer you to the tourist vehicle.
  • Once ready and comfortable in the vehicle, we head to the entrance control checkpoint for the waterfall, located about 17 km away, a trip of approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Before arrival, we make a brief stop at a viewpoint, where you can enjoy incredible views of the high jungle in the San Martín region.
  • Upon arrival at the checkpoint, we get off the vehicle to register our entry.
  • From here, we begin a walk of about 15 minutes, during which you can admire the local flora and fauna. It is recommended to bring a camera to capture the journey.
  • At the end of the walk, we reach the beautiful Ahuashiyacu waterfall, where you can enjoy a refreshing dip and observe its impressive nearly 35-meter drop.
  • After enjoying the site, we return along the same trail to our vehicle, and then head back to Tarapoto city.
  • After about a 30-minute ride, we drop you off at your hotel’s door. With a warm farewell, the tour concludes.
