Our staff will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin the journey to the Seven Lakes of Ausangate. The first stop will be the village of Pacchanta, located at 4,200 meters above sea level, where you'll enjoy a breakfast made with local ingredients. After a short rest, we’ll begin a scenic hike of approximately 7 kilometers to explore the stunning lakes surrounding the Ausangate snow-capped mountain. At the end of the hike, we’ll return to Pacchanta for a well-deserved lunch before heading back to Cusco.

After the hike, you’ll get to relax in the area’s natural hot springs and savor delicious local cuisine — the perfect way to top off an unforgettable adventure.


Itinerary

  • Very early in the morning, between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m., our staff will pick you up from your hotel (located in Cusco’s historic center) and escort you to our tourist transport to begin the journey to the Seven Lakes of Ausangate.
  • Once everyone is on board, we’ll head to the village of Pacchanta, located at 4,200 meters above sea level — a trip that takes approximately 3 hours.
  • Upon arrival in Pacchanta, we’ll start the day with a delicious breakfast made from local ingredients, giving you the chance to taste unique, natural dishes from the region.
  • After breakfast, we’ll begin our 7-kilometer hike, visiting the lakes of Azulcocha, Orco Otorongo, China Otorongo, Puqacocha, Alqacocha, Qomercocha, and Patacocha. The hike takes around 4 hours.
  • Once we’ve visited all the lakes, we’ll return to the village of Pacchanta, where a tasty lunch will be waiting to help you recharge.
  • You’ll then have time to enjoy the Pacchanta hot springs (not included), where you can relax in warm pools while admiring stunning views of the Jampa, Pucapunta, Caracol, and Tinke snow-capped mountains.
  • After lunch, we’ll begin the return trip to Cusco, which takes about 3 hours. We’ll arrive around 6:00 p.m., and our team will bid you a warm farewell, marking the end of the Seven Lakes of Ausangate tour.
  • Note: If you’d like to visit the Pacchanta Hot Springs, please inform your guide, who will let you know if time allows for the visit.
