What will you do

This tour is designed for those who wish to closely experience the coffee culture of Cusco. We will start the day with a journey through the Sacred Valley, passing through traditional towns like Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo, until reaching Huayopata, on the edge of the jungle. There, we will visit a coffee farm located at Ecolodge Ipal, where we will learn about coffee cultivation and processing, and participate in a tasting.


Itinerary

  • Early in the morning, between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m., our staff will pick you up from your hotel (located within the historic center) with a warm greeting, then take you to our tourist transport.
  • Once ready, we will begin our journey towards Ecolodge Ipal. Along the way, we will pass through well-known towns of the Sacred Valley such as Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo.
  • After approximately 3 hours of travel, we will reach the highest point of our route: Abra Málaga. There, we will make a brief stop to stretch our legs and take some photographs.
  • We will then continue our journey to our destination, located on the edge of the Cusco jungle, in the Huayopata area. This leg will take us about an additional hour.
  • Upon arrival, we will receive a warm welcome from the Ecolodge team, who will offer us a delicious breakfast prepared with local products. It will be an excellent opportunity to try new flavors.
  • After recharging our energy, we will begin the tour of the coffee plantations. We will learn about the types of beans, their qualities, the production process, and, of course, participate in a tasting of the local coffee.
  • Following this experience, we will enjoy a comforting lunch, also prepared with local products, ideal for regaining strength.
  • After discovering all that coffee has to offer, we will begin our return to the city of Cusco. The return trip will take approximately 4 hours, arriving in the city around 7:00 p.m.
  • Our tour will conclude with a warm farewell from our team, dropping you off at your hotel door or a nearby point (within the historic center of Cusco).
