What will you do

Once we are all on board, after the group of travelers has been picked up from the door of their hotel, it is time to start the trip towards Puno. Ideal trip to enjoy the most beautiful landscapes of the South Valley of Cusco. Everyone is recommended to start the tour having breakfast beforehand. The first destination will be only 40 minutes away from Cusco, we are talking about the Church of Andahuaylillas. Place where we can also take the opportunity to do some shopping. After that we will have a longer trip until we reach Raqchi, where we will have a long journey. To then return to the transport and after less than 15 minutes of travel arrive at the restaurant where we will have a buffet lunch. After this rest, we continue with the trip passing through La Raya and then the Lithic Museum of Pucará. Finally, before nightfall we will be arriving in Puno.


Itinerary

  • 20 minutes before 7:00 am. We will go through the hotels of our entire team of travelers.
  • We will arrive at the Mer bus station.
  • From 7:00 in the morning we already have to be on our way to Puno. It is important that the schedules are respected.
  • After only forty minutes of travel, we will arrive at Andahuaylillas. We will ascend to its parade ground.
  • In the Plaza de Armas in Andahuaylillas, we will get off our bus to tour the San Pedro church.
  • This church is one of the most beautiful in all of Peru. It has paintings and decorations typical of the Andean Baroque.
  • After the pertinent tour we continue with the trip.
  • The next destination to visit is a little further away, but thanks to the comfort of our transport there will be no problems.
  • It is estimated to arrive at Raqchi at 11:30 in the morning.
  • This place was an important ceremonial and religious center. You can still find the remains of one of the largest Inca temples in Tawantinsuyo.
  • The tour of Raqchi will take us 1 hour or more, where we will visit different archaeological spaces.
  • After the tour, we will return to our transport to arrive at our restaurant La Pascana, very close to Sicuani.
  • The lunch service included in this tour is buffet. We only have to make a trip of 10 to 15 minutes.
  • During this second leg of the trip, we will get to know the natural border between Cusco and Puno known as the Paso de la Raya.
  • We will be able to appreciate in the distance the snowy Chimboya, whose thaws give the first waters for the Amazon River. In this place you can appreciate beautiful landscapes.
  • Once we move away from La Raya Pass, we will be closer to Puno.
  • The destination that we will visit before arriving is the Lithic Museum of Pucara.
  • In this museum you can see zoomorphic sculptures and the famous sculpture of the Cutthroat or Hatunñaqac.
  • It is estimated to arrive in Puno averaging 5:00 p.m.

 

Important:

This tour can be done in the opposite direction, that is, from Puno to Cusco. The travel schedule starts the same at 7:00 and minutes before the passenger pick-up proceeds. The destinations they visit vary in order, thus: Pucara Lithic Museum - La Paso de la Raya - Buffet lunch - Raqchi - San Pedro de Andahuaylillas Church - Cusco.
