What will you do

Complete Inti Raymi (Qoricancha – Sacsayhuamán):

The first option we offer is the one that includes the two most important locations. That is, assistance in Qoricancha and Sacsayhuamán. By booking this service we guarantee transportation, tickets and seats to witness the ceremony in both locations. In this sense, we begin with pick-up from your hotel, accompaniment to Qoricancha, guided and then transportation and access to Sacsayhuamán, along with a box lunch. Likewise, information and translation of the ceremony is guaranteed. Finally we will make the return trip to Plaza Regocijo.

Inti Raymi only Sacsayhuamán:

If you purchase this second option, we offer pick-up from your hotel. We will continue with transportation to Sacsayhuamán, where you will be given a box lunch. Transportation is comfortable and you only travel for about 20 minutes. Once in Sacsayhuamán, you will appreciate the ceremony that brings together the 4 of you, with dances and live music. At all times you will be assisted by a professional guide. At the end of the ceremony, we will descend to Plaza Regocijo in the transport we ascended. Completing one of the most spectacular ceremonies in the world.


Itinerary

  • The Inti Raymi ceremony begins at 8:30 in the morning.
  • Since Inti Raymi begins, it has been developed in three different scenarios.
  • The first of them is in Qoricancha, the second is the Plaza de Armas and the last place is in Sacsayhuamán.
  • From 8:00 in the morning the drums begin to vibrate inside the Qoricancha.
  • Little by little the dancers and musicians give way to the Inca who requests permission from the Inti or Sun god to start the festival.
  • A ceremony is held in each of the scenarios.
  • After that, they begin to move in an orderly manner to the Plaza de Armas.
  • The ceremony in the Plaza de Armas is also a historic location. There, the entire Capaq Ñam road network began.
  • The ceremony in the Plaza de Armas or Huacaypata begins at 10:30 in the morning.
  • In this place the meeting between the current local authorities and the Inca takes place. Being a symbolic meeting between two times.
  • After that, the final ceremony takes place on the Sacsayhuamán esplanade, at approximately 2:00 p.m.
  • That is why, when traveling, you will be given a Box Lunch.
  • In Sacsayhuamán the 4 Suyos pay tribute to the Sun god or Inti, with dances, choreography, music and acting performances.
  • The entire ceremony lasts approximately 2 hours.
  • At the end, our entire group descends to Plaza Regocijo, thanks to the transportation that will not be waiting.

  • It can be used to acclimatize, take the trip calmly.
Keep in mind:
  • Disturbing the order during the ceremony is prohibited.
  • Entering the stage or disturbing the artists will result in you being removed from the tour.
  • Leaving the group without prior notice may cause inconvenience and delays.
  • Transportation can wait in Plaza Regocijo or a few meters away.
  • The streets of Cusco will be full, be careful with your belongings.
  • You cannot sit anywhere other than your reservation. Tickets for Sacsayhuamán are numbered.
  • You can find toilet services in Sacsayhuamán.
  • The transportation will conclude the tour in Plaza Regocijo.

Frequent questions

Is it necessary to attend all locations?

No. You can only purchase option 2, that is, reserve a ticket in the seats on the Sacsayhuamán esplanade. If you choose this option, remember that we will take care of your transportation to the entrance of Sacsayhuamán and your entry ticket. On the other hand, you can tour the Qoricancha and Plaza de Armas ceremonies on your own.
