This tour allows us to delve into the mysteries of Lake Titicaca. First we will visit 2 of the more than ninety artificial islands that are called the Uros Islands. Then, continuing with the activity, we will take a trip of almost 3 hours around the lake. Our second destination will be Amantani Island. This island has, like the Uros Islands, other mysteries. The communities that developed on these two important islands have very different cultures, but they managed to transcend the Spanish invasion. On this tour of Lake Titicaca, we will sail and learn more about the living cultures of Peru.

What will you do

The tour of the Uros Islands and Amantani is one of the best activities you can do in Puno. Everyone can do this tour because it is also easy to do. Especially with our services that we offer transportation from the hotel door. In this sense, we will pass by the hotels and once we have the entire group, we will cover the route to the port of Puno. There a boat with all the necessary security will be waiting for us. The tour begins with transportation from the hotels of the people who have booked. This pick-up will be coordinated with the necessary advance notice and everyone must wait with their belongings ready. After that we will begin the trip to the port of Puno. There the boat for the trip will be waiting for us. Once we are all ready with the safety equipment, we will begin the trip to the Uros Islands, where we will have a brief discovery of how the islands are made and all the uses that reeds have.

After that it will be time to take a long trip, approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to Amantani. During this trip, we will see more of the grandeur of Lake Titicaca which is home to a large amount of flora and fauna. We will arrive at Amantani, we will introduce ourselves to the town and we will take a short walk to the main square of this island. Once there, we can enjoy an exquisite lunch. Afterwards we can have a brief tour on our own. Finally we will return to Puno.

Itinerary

Hotel pickup includes only the central area of Puno.
It is recommended that everyone wait ready, thus avoiding unnecessary delays.
Transportation will take us to the port of Puno.
In the port of Puno we will board a large, motorized boat.
The trip will begin when the entire group is perfectly protected.
The navigation time to our first destination will be only 30 minutes.
Upon arriving at the Uros Islands, we will be able to learn how they are made and also the other uses they give to totora.
After this explanation and contemplation of the works they do, it will be time to return to the boat.
On this boat we will make sure to be comfortable because it will be a trip of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The destination of this second trip will be Amantani Island.
In Amantani, we will have to walk to the small square of the place.
Once in the square we will meet part of the population and they will take us to the place where we can have lunch.
After lunch we will have free time to learn more about Amantani Island.
It is possible to visit the incredible viewpoints of Lake Titicaca in Amantani.
It is also time to take the necessary photographs.
After this brief tour it will be time to return to Puno.
The trip to Puno will be shorter and our transportation will be waiting for us at the port.
Once at the port, our transportation will take us to the hotels.
