What will you do

Visiting the Mountain of 7 Colors is one of the best experiences you can have while in Cusco. Although this activity requires extra effort, it is worth it anyway. On this tour you will have transportation service, professional guidance, breakfast and buffet lunch with ingredients from the region. You will also have the reservation of the entrance to Vinincunca, to avoid delays. In our services we include an oxygen ball to avoid any problem and also our guides will be attentive to any problem or doubt you may have.

Itinerary

  • At the agreed time, which can range from 4:30 to 5:00 in the morning, we will go through your hotel. The driver of the full team sprinter minivan will be in charge of picking everyone up.
  • Once the whole group is ready, the minivan will leave in the direction of the South of Cusco. You can take advantage of this early morning trip to rest.
  • After 2 hours of travel we will arrive at Cusipata, where we will be able to taste the exquisite buffet breakfast. It is recommended that you drink coca tea or drink plenty of liquid.
  • After this stop, we will return to the minivan to start the one hour trip to Phulawasipata. On this journey we will enter the Andean mountains and see incredible landscapes.
  • In Phulawasipata, we must decide whether to follow the path on foot or on horses guided by the inhabitants of the surrounding communities. The walk is arduous (because of the altitude) and takes 2 hours with adequate breaks. Riding the horse you can get there in less than 1 hour.
  • During the walk, we will find toilets.
  • An important detail is that the Vinicunca Mountain or Mountain of 7 Colors is located at more than 5,000 meters above sea level or 16,400 ft.
  • Air shortage will be normal for all visitors. However, with proper breathing and avoiding fatigue, altitude sickness can be overcome.
  • When we arrive at Vinincunca we will be able to rest and contemplate all the beauty of the mountain and the landscapes that surround it. The guide will also be in charge of informing about the importance, beliefs and myths of the mountain.
  • The return is easier. All visitors could do it on foot. However, there is always the option of renting transportation with the help of the muleteers.
  • Upon arriving back at Phulawasipata, we will board the minivan and once again arrive at Cusipata where we will have lunch.
  • After our buffet lunch, the return trip to Cusco begins. It is estimated to arrive in the city of Cusco at 5:30 p.m., on the same day.
